Spencer Macdonald is an Associate Attorney in the Firm's Litigation Department. He practices in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, creditor's rights, and real estate disputes on behalf of financial institutions and trustees.
Mr. Macdonald earned his law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. During law school, Mr. Macdonald served on the School's Law Review and published a law review article. He has since published articles in the Utah Bar Journal, primarily focusing on real estate issues. Prior to coming to Pite Duncan, Mr. Macdonald was a partner in a law firm in Provo, Utah focusing on small business and real estate litigation. He has also worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Legal Studies Department at Utah Valley University, where he has taught courses in business law, contract law, legal research, debt collection and bankruptcy. Mr. Macdonald has previously served in the U.S. Army National Guard as a linguist and intelligence expert. Mr. Macdonald previously lived in Taiwan and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. Mr. Macdonald is admitted to practice in Utah.
